Effective career planning, career management, and career development, combined with a high level of career commitment, play a vital role in empowering human capital to spark creativity and innovation. This approach not only boosts job satisfaction by proactively managing individual career goals but also promotes greater fulfillment of organizational well-being. Keeping this mindset, the study advances understanding of how career planning, career management, career development, and career commitment enhance job satisfaction in the service sector of Bangladesh. Using data from 120 employees from Bangladesh’s service sector with a convenience sampling method, and employing PLS 4.0 to assess complex pathways, the results revealed that career planning, career management, career development, career commitment, and job satisfaction are positively associated, and career commitment partially mediates these relationships. The novelty lies in integrating these career phases with career commitment as a mechanism to increase job satisfaction in a developing country like Bangladesh, where empirical evidence is limited, and the job market is highly volatile. The findings indicate that the urge to develop a well-designed career map aligned with professional and organizational goals and strategies demonstrates effective career planning, management, and development, considering the mediating effect of career commitment, which in turn leads to higher job satisfaction.
